Sharks don't usually attack humans. We are not their natural prey. We get attacked because we resemble some of their prey and the shark makes a mistake in murky waters. For example we look a lot like a seal swimming in water and seals provide sharks with the blubber (fat) so 90% of the shark attacks are just mistakes made by sharks. Very few sharks have attacked humans and only one or two are man-eaters. In this list i have rated sharks based on their aggressiveness and attacks on humans. The short-fin Mako is the fastest shark in the waters. It's speed is equivalent to that of a 'cheetah' on land. It has to be fast as it's prey the 'tuna' is also very fast. Both prey and predator share the same body features which make them fast.

Short-finned Makos are found world-wide in temperate and tropical seas. Makos range from the surface to relatively deep waters. They are pelagic oceanic swimmers, but are occasionally found inshore. In warm, tropical oceans, they swim deep below the surface as they prefer cool water

Mako sharks have attacked humans. Very few were killed more due to loss of blood or failure to get medical help quickly. Those that were attacked were divers and shark feeders. Mako's don't swim near the beaches so swimmers and surfers are relatively safe from this shark.

The oceanic whitetip shark is a stocky and heavy set animal and feeds on tuna, marlins and baracuda. They can however eat anything edible.

Many people feel this is the most deadliest of all sharks perhaps the images of the film 'jaws' influence their reasoning but this is not true. Great whites are not mindless killing machines but a curious fish like the cat we have as a pet.

Most attacks by this shark are by mistake. A human swimming in the ocean appears like a seal, great white's main dinner so the shark is bound to attack. Experiments have also shown a great white releasing the victims after a single bite. This shark has no interest in our bones and muscles. It is the blubber on a seal which the shark wants.

However a single bite of this shark can be fatal as the victim can bleed to death. It's best not to be in the same waters with this shark. the most dangerous water where these sharks have known to attack humans are on the coasts of South Africa and Australia.
